Garden Snippet: Tiarella cordifolia- Foamflower


Tiarella is a great groundcover plant, especially if you’re in the market for something other than pachysandra, vinca, and the like. It has this lovely “bottlebrush” style flower, that gives the plant its common name “Foamflower”, I guess it looks a bit foamy.. This plant is in keeping with my last post about planting natives, as it is a US native plant. Good plant for shade as well, and many retailers are now selling varieties with colored foliage, not just green.
